Danielle Read, PA

Danielle Read has been working in Primary Care for 4 years. She started as a physician assistant in New York and recently relocated to the area. In her role at Urban Health, Danielle supports both Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Moreno.

A physician assistant is able to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms. They are able to order labs and fill prescriptions. They regularly communicate with the physician regarding complex issues.

Danielle prides herself on her relationship-building and communication skills. She thinks that as a provider it is important to listen to her patients to ensure that together they are formulating mutually agreed upon goals.

It is important to Danielle that when a patient leaves an appointment with her, they feel like they received the care that they were expecting, all of their questions were answered fully and they feel comfortable and confident leaving the office with a plan in place.


Danielle has experience in treating acute illnesses such as colds, flu, urinary tract infections, joint and muscular pain, stomach aches, female reproductive complaints. She is also experienced in the long-term care and management of chronic illness, specifically diabetes, hypertension, weight management, and autoimmune disorders. Danielle has a passion for nutrition, prevention, and helping her patients achieve optimal health.


She received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and an undergraduate degree at Villanova University.


Danielle loves dancing, she was on the Dance Team at Villanova University and is looking forward to re-engaging in this activity later this year.  She loves to read, especially if it is at the beach. She recently purchased Peloton, a high-tech at-home exercise bike. She loves it and says that you really do feel like you are getting the in-person class experience.
